Why Motion's Mobile App is Invaluable for Daily Productivity
The Motion mobile app’s intuitive design makes it an effective companion to the desktop app. While it does not offer the same robust standalone experience provided by the Desktop App; it mirrors the desktop app's core functionality, ensuring product familiarity while still being optimized for mobile use.
Why the Mobile App Stands Out:
Familiar Flow Across Platforms: The mobile app maintains consistency with the desktop experience, ensuring smooth transitions between devices. A simplified, easy-to-navigate design that mimics the desktop layout.
Seamless Task/Event Creation: Tap directly on the calendar to quickly and efficiently add new tasks and events. For iOS users, create tasks hands-free using Siri resulting in minimal effort and maximum output.
Core Feature Tabs at Your Fingertips: Projects, Calendars, Booking, and Settings tabs are organized for quick access; streamlining your task, and event management.
Dedicated Search Tab: Quickly and efficiently search for tasks, events, and projects so you never lose track of your assignments.
Synchronized Flow: Task and project updates made on mobile instantly reflect on the desktop app, and vice versa.
Differences Between Motion on Mobile and Desktop
While the mobile app offers powerful task and project management features, it is still quite a bit behind the in terms of overall functionality, when compared to the Desktop App. The Mobile App is currently missing some advanced functionalities remain exclusive to the desktop version.
Desktop-Exclusive Features:
Workflow templates for automating large-scale projects with recurring consistency.
Saving your custom views, bulk-task-editing, and modifying of workspace settings.
Track project timelines with the Gantt chart.
